Holiday Chowder Fest at the The Brander Winery: Warm away the winter chill with a hot bowl of clam chowder paired with fabulous Brander wines. Live music by Rob Malanca. Saturday, December 1, 1-4pm in Los Olivos.
Holiday Open House & Sale at the Wildling Art Museum: The Wildling Museum in Los Olivos celebrates with its annual Holiday Open House with six artisans from the gallery showcasing their crafts: gourd art, pine needle baskets, turned wood bowls, jewelry, locally made natural soaps, and beautiful hand-crafted pottery! Hot spiced cider and holiday cookies will be served; even bring the kids and make a pinecone ornament! Saturday, December 1, 4-7pm.
Old Fashioned Christmas in Los Olivos: Celebrate an Olde Fashioned Christmas as the streets of Los Olivos are adorned with luminaries, the smell of popcorn and roasted walnuts, musical performances and a tree lighting ceremony. Saturday, December 1, 4:30-7pm. Some of the local merchants eagerly welcoming guests during this romantic return to a small town holiday include: Longoria Wines – offering wine tastings and complimentary coffee, hot spiced apple cider and Diana’s mom’s famous homemade cookies and Cimarone and 3CV Wines teaming up with The Solvang Bakery for wine tasting and holiday cookie decorating.
Artiste Winery and Tasting Studio’s Live Auction: In conjunction with Pumascasu, Artiste Winery and Tasting Studio will be having a live auction 3-6pm hosted by Carlos Cerecedo, Saturday, December 1. Hand Crafted jewelry, antique and vintage wine accessories from around the world, wine and art will be featured. Come join in this exciting evening and enjoy new holiday wines as well as empanadas. Julefest Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony: The annual Solvang Julefest Parade begins at 11am, featuring Danish dancers, musical groups, vintage vehicles, horses, carriages and animals all along the parade route. Santa Claus will be available for visits and photos in Solvang Park post-parade. Follow the parade with the spectacular Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5pm, which includes live entertainment, ballerinas, caroling, and a visit from Santa Claus. Saturday, December 8.
Lucas & Lewellen Vineyards celebrates Julefest: As the twinkling village of Solvang kicks off its Julefest celebration Saturday, December 8, , Lucas & Lewellen Vineyards welcomes the holiday season with a Christmas Party. Before or after the village festivities, join Lucas & Lewellen Vineyards to taste their traditional Silver King Port, poured in a chocolate cup and paired with Roquefort cheese, and bubbly along with dessert wines and cheese pairings. Santa Barbara’s Chocolate Maya will stop by with samples of her beautiful artisan chocolates made with Lucas & Lewellen wines. $20 per person. No RSVP required.

Solvang Third Wednesday: Solvang Third Wednesday celebrates the holidays with “Keep the Cheer Here” – the perfect place for unique holiday gifts. Wednesday December 19, 3-7pm, over 60 merchants and restaurants offer specials and discounts paired with Christmas carolers and plenty of seasonal cheer.
Los Alamos Holiday Stroll: Share the spirit and hospitality of this old-west style community with a stroll of the 7-block long Bell Street main thoroughfare lined with enchanting luminarias.Discover art galleries, antique shops, restaurants and wine tasting rooms all with special offers and free holiday treats. Highlights include the Vineyard Voices Quartet, strolling carolers, the community tree-lighting, a bonfire with complimentary marshmallows and an opportunity to visit with Santa Claus. Saturday, December 8, 5pm – 8 pm.
Music and Candlelight at Z Folio Gallery: One winter evening, the electricity went out. Z Folio Gallery lit their gallery with candles and the result was an enchanting, wonderful experience. This year they are adding classical guitar music and refreshments to spice up the holidays experience. Saturday, December 8, 4-7pm. Featuring contemporary designer jewelry, art glass, photography, wood sculpture and wearable art from over 100 leading American and international jewelry designers, the night is sure to be magical.
